Choosing Your Makeup Colors

Determining your skin tone is vital in choosing the right shade of foundation, eye shadow & makeup colors that will look best on you. Make up is all about colors but that doesn’t mean you put them on all at once. There should always be the right balance when choosing makeup colors. An important aspect to take into concern is that your hair color reflects onto your skin.

Light Skin Tone -

If you have light skin tone , choose colors which don’t make you look pale. If you have dark hair in shades of medium to deep brown or even black look for stronger colors to balance it. The best way to do this is to stay strong with makeup colors to balance the dark hair and light skin. Try colors like reds & deep wine on the lips. For the eyes choose purples and fuchsia to really make them pop.

Medium Skin Tone -

Medium is a great skin tone since it has more yellow pigments as compared to light skin. Medium skin tones should choose colors like coral, peach and pinks for the lips. Choose lipsticks in warm browns, beige, reds and pinks. For the eyes shades of browns or turquoise which would look great.

Dark Skin Tone -

Dark skin if worked on well looks beautiful with colors. Try not to choose colors that make you look too dark or too light as it will make your skin look grey.
Brighter colors are the key so you can enjoy colors like bright green, blue, orange or magenta. Try colors like Bronze , Chocolate Brown and Magenta for lips.
For eyes colors like bronze , browns and silver looks great – an added shimmer won’t harm too.

With the correct colors of makeup your skin will look radiant, glowing and healthy. Also accepting your color will make the overall look just perfect , do not try to struggle it
( change the color ) with your foundation !

Until next - Stay Blessed and Beautiful !
